  報告人簡介:

  Dr. Liang Wang is a visiting scientist in T. H. Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University under mentorship of Dr. Frank Hu. He is also a tenured Associate Professor of Epidemiology in College of Public Health at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). Dr. Wang’s research interests include obesity, nutrition epidemiology, health education and promotion, etc. He has published about 100 articles in a variety of scientific journals (e.g., International Journal of Epidemiology) and book chapters (e.g., International Encyclopedia of Public Health) in the field. His research as PI or Co-I has been funded by NIH, PCORI, State of Tennessee, etc. Dr. Wang has taken some key leadership roles in the university, community, and professional societies. He has been serving as Associate Director of China-Tennessee Health Education Training Institute, Chair of Public Relation of North American Chinese Society for Nutrition (NACSN), Board Director of China Health Policy and Management Society (CHPAMS), Founder and President of the International Chinese Nutrition Young Scholar Network (ICNYSN), Associate Dean of School of Public Health and Management at Wenzhou Medical University, Adjunct Professor and Co-Director of Global Cooperation and Development of Global Health Institute at Xi’an Jiaotong University, Founder and President of Institute of Health Education and Lifecourse Promotion (iHELP), etc. He has received NACSN Outstanding Leadership and Service Award in 2016, Dean’s Special Recognition Award for University (ETSU) Leadership Faculty Senate in 2017, Dean’s Special Recognition Award for Service on the Faculty Council at ETSU in 2017, and ETSU College of Public Health Foundation Service Award in 2018. He was an invited candidate for being assistant dean of ETSU College of Public Health, and nominated for ETSU Distinguished Faculty Award for Service in 2019.
